Ohio Home AppraisalThe Ohio Department of Commerce' Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing licenses and regulates real estate brokers and salespeople, real estate appraisers, foreign real estate dealers and salespeople involved in home appraisal. Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus, Akron, Canton and all other cities in the Ohio are under state jurisdiction. Below are the appraiser classifications: State-licensed residential real estate appraisers must have acquired two thousand hours of experience in real estate appraisal. That appraisal experience must have been achieved within a 24 month period. State-certified Residential Real Estate Appraisers (home appraisal) professionals must have completed 2,500 hours of real property experience in not less than 30 months of work.
